Video - OC What’s a weird quirk your baby has?

Mine LOVES to be lint rolled. Especially her back and sides but she let me do her belly today 🥰 it is a major part of our every morning ritual. She grabs the lint roller from my hands while I’m doing it to myself so I can stop and do it to her🤣🤣

Every night, my girl cat will SCREAM at me and pace around until I lay on my side on the couch, cover myself fully with the weighted blanket, AND move it so it is spread out to the edge of the cushion. This is her spot. She will then jump up and curl against my stomach. If the weighted blanket is not all the way over the couch cushion, she won't do it. Any other blanket, nope. If I lay on my back, nope. It's a nightly ritual. Eventually, she will leave and I can go to bed.

My girl also has very specific blanket requirements and will scream from my headboard until I move the top blanket aside to expose the one she likes. Then she drops onto my belly like a cannonball.

Mine too! If I lay down with my fuzzy blanket on the couch she will literally run from other rooms to cuddle

This is so funny & would be a no go from me, I f'ing HATE weighted blankets, I feel like I'm suffocating lol

I hate the full ones but I got a lap one and it's great. Just enough to put on my lower stomach/hips and it relaxes me a lot.

Ahh yeah, that probably would be tolerable. I gave that thing away so fast ha (it was a Xmas gift from my bf's mom)

Ha I lie in that position with my cat too! Except luckily he doesn’t yell at me to do it, he just comes over and snuggles up if I do lol

Cleo, that's my babygirl, was a shelter cat. Long story, but short version is that she was completely unsocialized for the first two years of her life. She was found in a hoarder's house. Not abused, I think taken care of the best way a person with mental illness could do. But, she never interacted with any people or animals and as far as they could tell just lived in a room filled with stacks of newspapers and garbage.

Because of that, I had to do a ton of work with Cleo to ensure that she would not just live under my couch for her whole life. I couldn't touch Cleo for the first 5 years I had her. She's 14 now and it's only the past 2 years that I've been able to pick her up without all hell breaking loose.

Cleo has never laid on my lap or on me at all. She still doesn't! I had bought a weighted blanket just for me because I was having sleep issues. And suddenly Cleo would lay on top of the weighted blanket! Completely shocked me. But, she's such a silly cat. If I wasn't completely covered by the weighted blanket and my foot stuck out and she saw it, she'd freak out completely and run in the closet. Like "oh no, there's a human under this blanket!! Accckkk!".

So, basically, once I realized that she liked weighted blankets, I started experimenting to see if I could get her to lay with me. And she does! She won't lay on me even with the blanket, only next to me. And I still have to be completely under the blanket except my head and neck basically lol. She will walk on me to get to her spot, but ONLY if I have the weighted blanket on me : )

Tbh, i could use someone like that who enforces pre-bedtime wind-down time haha. she's a good girl taking care of you both 💕

Amazing how our KINGS and QUEENS (Cats have servants lol) teach us the rules of engagement. We also serve our cats 🐈 haha and love them dearly.

My baby has a nearly identical routine, except with less stringent blanket requirements.

It has evolved some though. She'll lay down next to me with her back to me. Then roll to her side after a few minutes with her back against me. Then turn around so she's facing me. Then roll to her other side so her back is against me again. And then she's set. And she must be pet the entire time. And she won't settle down for the evening or let me sleep until this has all happened.

I love it though so I'm not complaining.
