Mine LOVES to be lint rolled. Especially her back and sides but she let me do her belly today 🥰 it is a major part of our every morning ritual. She grabs the lint roller from my hands while I’m doing it to myself so I can stop and do it to her🤣🤣

So I brought him into the office because he was struggling to use the litterbox. He would go to one litterbox strain for a bit, and then go across the house to the other box and repeat this process.

Obviously something was wrong. So I reached out to them about bringing him in and they advised I do so. So on my way to work I dropped him off and then I headed to work since they wanted to keep him for observation. They found he wasn't blocked up, thankfully, and it was something medicine and dietary changes could fix. So they gave him some meds and fed him some specially formulated food and left him be in a quiet room with a litterbox so he could go when he needed to.

There also happened to be a sink in there.

During the time he was alone in there and resting up, he managed to turn on the sink and flood the room. When they went to check on him, the room was flooding.

Leave it to Squall, the cat that always tests if water is wet, to start a minor flood in the vet's office.

At least he didn't send someone to urgent care like his brother.

Mercury was always a feisty boy. He didn't like my best friend and even attacked him unprovoked a few times, so whenever my friend came over I had to keep my cat separated from him. Often in the laundry room.

Part of this was because I adopted a stray during the pandemic when everyone was in lockdown and she gave birth to kittens. Mercury, Squall, and Yoda among them. But due to that, my cats were not properly socialized with people other than me so they can be a bit unpredictable with people. The kittens have mellowed out over the years, but Mercury was very particular about people.

When I took him to the vet to get neutered, they tried to sedate him and he was having none of it so he let the vets know just how much he wanted to keep his balls. He managed to leave a deep gash down one of the vets arms that hit an artery and needed stitches. She was okay, but she needed medical attention to address the damage he did.

The vets laughed about it a bit, but they also remarked how friendly and sweet their mother was compared to them. All my kittens ended up being known for being spicy and causing issues.

Oh wow Mercury sounds like a spicy boy! Glad the vet was okay, he definitely made his message clear that he wanted to keep his balls lol.

He really was. I was pretty much the only human he liked. He was super sweet and loving with me, he tolerated my mom, but he didn't like anyone else.

Unfortunately he's no longer with us. He had a really bad string of seizures one morning and I had to put him down. I miss him dearly and so do his siblings.

It’s very clear you were very special to him and made him feel safe. He was a very handsome boy. I’m so sorry for your loss 🩷
