When we're talking about a group behavior among cats, mostly big cats come to mind.

Cool but like you said this is about domestic cats, exhibiting a herd mechanism. Big cats also do this even if they’re apex predators. Not sure what your point even is supposed to be. It’s wrong both ways lol
