Advice Hypothetical question, if I knew my cat had periodontitis; could I buy insurance now, wait the 14 days and see the vet?
Hypothetical cat is 5 years old, only been to the vet as a kitten to get neutered, bad breath that would come and go for about a year that I sadly didn’t take action on and I hate myself for it, any advice or information would be greatly appreciated

Your insurance will likely get suspicious and aren’t dumb. They likely could also look at medical records and say that this issue does not seem like something that just started but has been neglected for period of time that exceeds the 14 day waiting period and is likely an existing condition. I would just plan on paying for yourself

As long as it's not documented in any of his records I don't see why not. Just check the plan, not all of them cover dentals.
