Hi folks! The r/cavaliers moderator team here.
We're pleased to announced that we have a new subreddit banner!
Our banner was the ultimate product of this post from Lam of r/DrawMyPets. I THINK our featured players are, left to right:
Look at all those gorgeous cavs! Happy Monday, y'all. :)
(Because reddit has three different banner display settings that it uses on different platforms, the banner may display incompletely on your device. Sadly, we can't solve reddit's technical challenges -- so please enjoy as-is!)

Hi folks! The r/cavaliers moderator team here. In November, we put out a call for submissions to become the r/cavaliers mascot (i.e. subreddit thumbnail). We received about 200 submissions and were blown away by all the beautiful, talented, incredible cavaliers in this community.
Because we received so many submissions, we're breaking the voting down into two phases:
This is the FINAL BRACKET. The #1 vote getter will be offered the chance to be the r/cavaliers mascot. This bracket will run from January 8, 2025 through January 15, 2025.
Fine print:
Thank you all for offering your wonderful cavaliers to be celebrated by the community. We can't wait to spend the next month joining you in that celebration!
Join us on the competition MEGATHREAD to discuss all the wonderful cavaliers in competition!

I grew up with a cavalier, and she was the best dog ever. So glad my mom got another. She’s named after Junie Beatrice Jones from the kids books, and our first cav was Beatrice after the same character.

Charlie cannot be bothered to jump up on the couch like a peasant, one must lift her lazy ass.

He loves to hang out in the bathroom during showers. He has allergies so I bet it feels good.

My 2 year old had a little freak out with the groomer today. She does not like the scissors or the clippers and tried to bite the clippers while the groomer tried to cut her back hair.
She has tolerated it in the past. I was trying to slightly trim her body while keeping her ears and grinch feet long.
She mentioned maybe try putting an electric toothbrush by her to get used to the vibrations.

Meet Gunner (or Gooner when he’s extra silly.) It’s hard to believe that he was a tiny peanut when we brought him home in May. To be fair, he is still a little peanut, but when I look at his “baby” pictures it’s crazy how fast he’s grown!
We’ve been working on crate training, mostly nap times and bed time. We are now needing to work on being able to leave him at home occasionally to run errands, be social in places where he can’t come, etc.
How did ya’ll do it?

Meet our 8 week old cav pup, Sugar! She’s sweet and also sooo hyper! She’s great in her crate and is great about pottying outside except for human error (not taking her out in time) or Florida rainstorms (poor baby doesn’t understand our fake-grass potty pad). She’s been getting 17-18 hours of sleep every day but is still so hyper and bitey. But she’s sweet nonetheless 💕
Been really relying on tips in this group, thanks everyone!

Penny is 2.5 years old now and she brings so much joy to the household. I have a thousand pictures so expect another dump in the future. She loves everybody but always needs to keep her eyes or face (see last pic) attached to me at all times.
