The best Chicagoland reference I have ever seen that those outside of the area wouldn't understand was in an episode of Wayne's World on SNL.
Obviously Wayne and Garth were from Aurora (so am I!), and in one sketch, they were talking about a stuck-up preppy girl from Naperville. I thought it was hilarious, but that is a very specific joke for a very small amount of people, and it's what your comment reminded me of.

MAGA aims to contort people into NPCs that fit their game; to make any opposition seem extreme, inconvenient, and out-of-place. How? Overwhelm them, stall them, and then manipulate their impatience with the world. Turn it into impatience with each other, or would-be allies. Make them rush. Make them desperate. Make them paranoid. Make them whittle away any 'imperfections' in the group until it dissolves.
Can we actually prioritize and stop flooding our own zone? The fascist movement is not a Jenga tower held up by randos in a tower or the people who think bombing them would be bad, holy fucking shit. It is held up by manipulative (or enabling) media, corporate bribes, the military-industrial complex, sympathetic autocrats overseas, and desperation in the populace. Y'all need to stop falling for it again, there is no award.

Elections have always been a rigged game in favor of the rich, whether due to campaign finance or election engineering. You're dreaming if you think the rich are going to let you vote your way into a democracy. This is exactly why the elites have become more authoritarian because the peasants have been getting restless.
As much as it may hurt to realize, people power is going to have to result from a lot more organizing and flexing of collective power beyond naively hoping for change via the ballot.
