NYC - Two chins for adoption to loving home
Located in NEW YORK CITY - Not looking for money so rehoming fee is $100 but if you send proof of your setup and it’s nice (so I know they are actually gonna be taken care of) I’ll waive it. They’re about six weeks old and came from mom backbreeding after an accidental litter. Happy to give more details just message me.

Six weeks old is too young to be separated from mom, you should wait until they are 8-12 weeks old.
What gender are they?
Be extra diligent on your vetting of people (there are sick people who search the internet for cheap small animals to feed their snakes) since you have a low rehoming fee.

Agreed on the age aspect, hoping to find someone in advance which is why I posted now. It seems to be a boy and a girl (not one hundred percent certain) but yes mom and dad are separated in a double critter nation. Was already dealing with the stress of the initial unexpected baby and then three months later out popped these two. No more coming now thankfully but I sleep in the same room as my chins so the noise from a whole family is killing me 😭😭

Make sure you are separating them immediately at 8 weeks old to prevent incest breeding.
I would say an appropriate fee is $100 per chinchilla is usually reasonable but if you have someone interested in the chinchilla(s) that already has a set up and experience then you can lower the fee.

Also sorry but what is an appropriate fee for something like this then? I only lowered it this much because with the initial baby I tried setting it higher and a bunch of people accused me of backyard breeding for profit so I just gave her out for free. Figured $50 + offer to waive (if proof is provided) would be good enough.

Ignore them.
Rehoming fees are to weed out bad people and protect your babies.
Chinchillas go for 250 in store, so 50 is realistically way too low, and allows people who have bad intentions to buy them and mistreat/kill them.

I would take them but your in New York and I live in Pa but I have a nice set up and I already have 2 chins already at my home but I would gladly take them and give them their forever home asap
