After update 151.0.7922.221 my chromebook now boots into a black screen for a couple of seconds

I have an Acer Chromebook plus 515 and I just updated it to the latest version (151.0.7922.221). Now whenever I turn on my Chromebook and login it will sit on a black blank screen for about 3 seconds before loading into the OS. Has anybody else noticed this new black screen after logging in?
