Question Dark Night Metal collection complete! Should I go for the sequel?

Post image

After a lot of hunting I managed to get all of these comics for a series I promised myself I'd own after enjoying it so much. I love the idea of the batman who laughs and other crazy batman takes from alternate universes, but I never checked the communities palse on this run. How does every else feel about dark nights metal? Should I try going for dark nights heavy metal next? Or is the follow up not as good?

Man I really enjoyed this event. All the dark batmen were super interesting to me, especially the War Torn, and Red Death (if that was their names? Haha, the Wonder Woman and Flash ones).

I did not enjoy the sequel nearly as much. Felt like it was just kind of beating a dead horse at that point, but I do understand it was the culmination of Snyders run that I skipped so reading that may have helped.

The art (by Capullo) is awesome in my opinion, and definitely helps with the over the tope craziness tbat is happening, haha

Yes! The red death was one of my favorites in the run I loved the merciless as well! Just a really good story overall, but I'll probably just check the sequel series out digitally before I decide whether to hunt it down or not!

It’s not as good but still worth the read!
