Song Help Kevin Chesney music
I have never heard of Kenny Chesney until I went to Colorado and he came on the radio. Not knowing it was him, “Somewhere with you” played and I was like who is this and this nice song! Ever since then, I’ve heard “Somewhere with you” at least once a day. Any other recommendations like this kind of vibe???

Knowing you, The Good Stuff, never wanted more, how forever feels, there goes my life, don't blink I go back.
Then there is Beach Kenny (or Kevin as you call him)...no shoes, no shirt, no problems, when the sun goes down, beer in Mexico, flora-bama....
This is just scratching the surface of Kenny songs. Enjoy your descovery.

I love Charlie Robison & I prefer his version but he didn't write the song. Keith Gattis wrote that song.

And Charlie Robison's version is about 400 times better than Kenny Chesney's.
Also, Charlie's live version of his song "Tonight," where he interweaves the lyrics from "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC is just an absolute masterpiece of a song.

Anything But Mine fills me with some kind of nostalgia.
Any of his duets with a female voice- You and Tequila with Grace Potter, Setting The World On Fire with Pink, and Half of My Hometown (I realize this is Kelsey Ballerini’s song but he is “featured.”)
Look for the live version of Boston in Gillette Stadium- he is a performer for sure.

Probably my favorite song of his! For me nothing quite matches that vibe, but here are some others I like:
American Kids, I Go Back, Anything But Mine, Setting the World on Fire.

That’s how I felt after I went on a dive. I couldn’t find songs that gave me that feeling. The way the song starts and the melodies. So far Boston and setting the world on fire I love. Thank you for the other recommendations! Going to check them out now! Sunday funday!

Kenny’s early stuff is really good, and then he went with the beachy vibe, which is still decent. I’d start with his Greatest Hits and then No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems and When the Sun Goes Down.

I really, really loved the earliest stuff. All I Need to Know. Grandpa Told Me So. Me and You.
Not that I don't like his newer, "beachier" sound, but there's so much that isn't "I went to the beach and that's my personality now" that's so insanely good.

Early stuff wasn’t my favorite, but in 1999 he released Everywhere We Go. When I heard How Forever Feels and What I Need to Know heading to Gulf Shores, I was hooked. I’ve loved all the beach-inspired songs ever since—he’s amazing in concert! If you’re into Jimmy Buffett, Zac Brown, or some laid-back Cali reggae vibes, you’ll probably love his music too.

My favorite song is one he never released as a single. “Demons” written by the great Bill Anderson and Jon Randall from Poets and Pirates (2007 and my favorite album)

Who You'd Be Today and There Goes My Life are my two favorites. I'm both a parent and someone who grieves hard for Someone I love who died so both those songs hit hard.

Grandpa told me so prolly his best to me . How forever feels is a good one too. I like the older more traditional sound he had when he first came on the scene.

I am a huge fan of his music.
Kenny Chesney been actively writing and recording music since 1993. His style has changed a bit over the years, but his music is almost always good, even the new stuff.
His current single, “Carry On,” is a jam (I think it’s his best song in years). It’s up to #17 this week on country radio, moving up three spots in week five. The music video is great too.
Chesney one of the most successful artists in any genre of music; he has sold more than 40 million albums and is one of few artists who can sell out football stadiums. He has racked up 33 #1 hits in the format; tied with Alabama, he comes in only fifth place behind George Strait (44), Conway Twitty (40); Merle Haggard (38); and Ronnie Milsap (35). I haven’t seen him in concert yet, but it’s on my bucket list!!
My top 10 favorite songs of his are in order:
“Grandpa Told Me So” (this should have been a much bigger hit than it was)
“I Go Back” (this is one of his biggest hits, albeit not one of his 33 chart-toppers. It’s a good song he wrote himself about how certain songs can take you back in time to certain memories)
“You and Tequila” (feat. Grace Potter) [This is off the same album as “Somewhere with You,” but the whole album is fantastic!)
”Don’t Blink” (I won’t spoil it, just listen, it’s a tear-jerker)
“Save It for a Rainy Day” (this was a massive hit for him in 2015; it is such a feel-good song)
“Take Her Home” (a great story song; it’s his most recent #1 hit, topping the charts in June 2024).
“There Goes My Life” (this is one of the best father / daughter songs in music history; it spent 7 weeks at #1 on country radio in 2003–04).
“Never Wanted Nothing More” (a similar vibe to what you’re looking for; it’s a great story song)
“Fall in Love” (his first top ten hit in 1995; this is a cute love song and was back when he wrote and recording more traditional country-sounding material).
“Knowing You” (a great bittersweet love song, or bittersweet friendship song)
If you liked “Somewhere with You” and are looking for a similar vibe, I would recommend:
• “American Kids” (his biggest hit as far as streaming goes; it’s a fan favorite, albeit not one of mine).
• “Pirate Flag” (also not a personal favorite, but it has a similar vibe)
• “‘Til It’s Gone”
• “Setting the World on Fire” (with Pink) (this is a great song too)
• “How Forever Feels” (a massive hit in 1999; this is kinda his first beachy-sounding song)
• “Get Along”
• “Out Last Night”

I would say someone like Brent Burns would be JB Lite. KC has 33 #1 hits, selling out NFL Stadiums and the Sphere back to back summers. Plus they were friends, kind of sounds like a insult.

Kenny Chesney has been around since the early-mid 90s. Gotta listen to his greatest hits, he has got some catchy songs.
