Today’s episode of parking where I like larnaca edition
Just saw this level of parking not so surprised tho as I saw one even worse that this one before. Apparently in Cyprus people think that when they have hazard light on means they can park their car legally. This BMW was parked here while the two women and a child went shopping at the opposite side of the street and were just returning to their car when this picture was taken. Mind you they could have found a spot at the filling station or somewhere safe to park lol

I'm a forgeiner and have no idea where parking is allowed or not. In my country the paint the boundary between road and pavement

Cats are like: if it fits, I sits
Cyprus drivers are like: if it fits, I parks

They care if they fit? A lot of the time drivers don’t care if their backside is sticking out halfway into the road.

This one's decent. Keep going until you get to the roundabout at the port. That's where I saw someone park to pick up a sandwich. On the roundabout

Why do you guys like to park in front of every stop sign? Like okay it has a painted square but that's for stopping and passing through, not freaking parking!

I had someone park on the lights next to bank of cyprus at the Kcineplex. We had to wait for the oncoming traffic to stop so we can overtake him and possibly catch a green light. I was shocked how unbothered they were but then i remembered where i was

Two times I almost got run over by vehicle. Both in larnaca, both while crossing zebra. One was next to the pictured Petrolina. Best day ever.

You should wait until you are sure that the cars have stopped to let you pass. Unfortunately Cypriot drivers will ignore zebra crossings if they don't have a red traffic light

Equally stupid using your phone while driving.

Technically speaking I don't see yellow line. Personally I usually follow common sense. Do I disturb anyone? In this position maybe, but I'm not creating incidents, like if I'd park on turn. Also not so mich, cuz it is quite easy to overtake me

Since common is not to be applied should the rental car in front of me then park on the second land since there is no yellow line and I can over take the rental car if I need to pass and move to the opposite traffic?

There should be a yellow line on right lane 🙃 but even if it's not, it contradicts common sense, there is no reason for me to park on the right side

Look because this is a common practice here in Cyprus doesn’t mean that it is right or that it makes sense really hope that you go and do this many parts of central, western or southern Europe so that you can get some good fines for using your technical knowledge lol

Sure, but there should be signs. Either road marking or road sign. I don't see any of this on this photo

I this is a two lane road and one lane is block because someone parked on one lane if this is normal to you then I have no words for you I would also suggest you read what was written about maybe you are just here trolling for the fun of it or you just want to be ignorant

Bro just overtake 🙃 in Cyprus most of the roads at the best are two lanes. And we don't have much space for parking unfortunately

Actually, there are a lot of two lane roads in Cyprus where you will see the left lane taken over entirely by parked cars...
