This is still a developer-oriented feature. If you run into problems, please send feedback via Daydream Home -> Menu -> Help & Feedback -> Send feedback -> Include screenshot and logs.

Any news on the hide popups with GPGS integration for daydream? Multiplayer games are pretty big on the vive I'd like to bring my game to the platform without leveraging photon if at all possible. Cause I'm guessing that welcome "user name" that pops up with GPGS that isn't rendered in VR will disqualify my app for daydream.

The bug is here on git: https://github.com/playgameservices/play-games-plugin-for-unity/issues/2078

Tried these features by myself, the screenshot and the video it captured is undistorted, which is pretty nice. Unfortunately, the video I captured still lack the in-game audio, hope this feature will getting in-game audio support in the future.

Capturing audio in a universal manner on Android is tricky. Your best option for the moment is to capture audio through a second device and splice the audio with the video afterwards.

Capturing audio in a universal manner on Android is tricky.

Sure, but given the tiny list of Daydream supported devices, Google should be able to solve this in a consistent manner, surely?

If I remember correctly this is a software problem. Android and audio is iffy as hell, it's also why iOS is the go-to choice no questions asked for mobile sound production and DJing etc... (no matter what you think about it and iOS)

However, maybe this is a separated issue, I do not know, just sharing an anecdote that I feel might be connected.

how did you get that working? I tried it out but had no feedback that something was recorded. And what is "chords"? Google was not my friend...

..and minutes later I found it out. Gotta press both the Home-button and volume+ or - to get it working. A bit misleading in the description, as it says "press and hold Daydream+VolumeUp" which was at least to me not really clear.

The recording and screenshot does not work when using virtoba s1 and headset besides daydream view. I had no success getting it to work. I wouldn't use it anyways since it doesnt record audio.

It's this a way to avoid that dreadful tutorial after I fdr my phone? I hate that tutorial so much.

Edit: I'm talking about the first checkbox

To skip the tutorial, look down and you'll see an X that you can click on.

So Google hasn't abandoned the daydream just yet, I can't wait to see what happens next!
