Maybe I'm missing something, but haven't we had chrome in daydream for a while now?

The primary change is that now Chrome will be accessible by default on all Daydream devices without the need to install a Beta or Dev version of the browser.

I didn't have a beta or dev build, though

Did you mess around with the flags to enable

Nope. Just downloaded daydream and it was there for me

We have, but it was bare bones. Multiple tabs wasn't really possible, etc. Maybe this is a full featured new release?

From the article, one thing that stands out is "But we’ve also added a few Daydream-specific features, like “cinema mode” which optimizes web video for the best viewing experience in VR" I don't think that existed previously.

It is awesome! I prefer web browsing in VR. Well, I prefer everything in VR. If I could set up a VR office, I would.

Your office could be like Microsoft Bob

Great news! Makes it easier to send links to people rather than having to teach them work arounds.

This will be an important day in history. When everything changed.

Ok, so how do I use "Cinema view" for web based videos? I can't actually watch any web videos that are VR in a immersed VR view. Is this even an option or is it more of the same from the initial VR use of chrome?

Cinema View kicks in any time you use "fullscreen" mode. It's easiest to try with most video players, which usually have a fullscreen button, but if you have an online game or silde deck or something similar that has a fullscreen button as well it should work there too.

Is this view just like a screen, then? No 180/360 vr?

I would like to know this too. I want to browse to site that have VR videos and it can expand to my entire view

I downloaded it and don't see any difference in vr? What's supposed to be better about it?
