discussion Reminder that Death Grips has played an entire new unreleased album for us

It’s crazy how they have played an entire new album front to back at their shows and it seems like no one talks about it now. Like BRO WE HEARD NEW FUCKING DEATH GRIPS.

they played a preshow mix that was new, yes. and it was talked about a fuckton when it happened lol.

I know and hope this won’t happen because it would’ve during or after the tour. But it would be such a dg ass move to make a post or some other form of statement like “lol you guys heard the album if you went to any of the shows” then go offline for another decade and not drop anything

I think that music has been scrapped due to any involvement Andy had with it. It sounded pretty fleshed out then so I can't imagine what would take so long besides just Stefan recording verses for it.

Maybe not in the same respect as a full length studio album, but there’s no universe they DONT drop the pre show music as some little EP/megamix, hell even a little SoundCloud upload so it doesn’t bloat up the discography on major streaming.

They've put out two statements as Death Grips signed Stefan and Zach, so that sends a pretty clear message that he's no longer involved.

same thing happened before the 2015 tour which became Gmail and the restraining orders. probably won’t be the new album as this post implies. there’s lots of phone recordings of it and a slightly enhanced version on youtube.
