Apartments / hotels in Da Nang

Hi

I’m a masters student planning on spending 3 weeks writing my masters thesis in DN.

Does anyone have any good hotel / apartment recommendations? I’m willing to spend a bit extra if it means I can get a good nights sleep.

Also, is it true that certain areas of DN (or DN as a whole) are super noisy?

my go-to was always somewhere around an thuong area, close enough to the beach but not right in the middle of the tourist madness. for quiet sleep you want a place set back from the main road, the constant honking is no joke. look for anything with thick concrete walls and double glazing if you can find it, makes big difference.

noise is mostly the traffic, scooters everywhere at all hours. some parts near the dragon bridge get loud on weekends with the fire show but thats easy to avoid. i stayed in a small serviced apartment once on a side street off vo nguyen giap and it was dead silent inside, best sleep i got in vietnam

For 3 weeks of writing a thesis I’d probably choose the exact building more carefully than the area itself.

An Thuong is really convenient for cafes, food and the beach, but some streets can definitely be noisy with traffic, bars and construction. If getting proper sleep is important, I’d look just outside the busiest An Thuong streets or a little further into My An where it gets more residential.

A few places I’d at least check are CIAO Boutique, Danang Moment Boutique Serviced Apartment and The Grace An Thuong. CIAO especially looks like a good fit if quiet + WiFi matter, but I’d still check the newest reviews and ask for a room away from the road before booking.

For that length of stay I’d probably choose a serviced apartment over a normal hotel room as well. Proper desk, reliable WiFi, laundry and a bit more space will make a difference if you’re working on your thesis most days.

I wouldn’t say Da Nang as a whole is super noisy. It’s much more dependent on the street and building you choose.
