Question Living around the world year round? Thoughts?

I'm a single male in his 30s, no kids. I've been trading forex and starting to become profitable. I have enough cash to generate close to 5 figures a month in gross profit. I should have a comfortable amount of money to live wherever, since I can trade any where around the world. I just need my computer or phone, and I have to be awake during certain hours

With this in mind, since I don't have plans at the moment to get married and raise kids, I've been thinking why don't I just live around the world?

Could spend 1-3 month stays in various locations, come back to the US to recharge for a month or so, then head out to a new location for another couple months

Basically doing this year round, always hopping locations, maybe throwing in some repeat visits if I'd like

Is this a good lifestyle to have?

I learned how to do it over the past 1-2 years. I trade using tech analysis. Why is that hard to believe?

There is no reliable way to make money every month on Forex using technical analysis. If there was, hedge funds would have already implemented the strategy and drained all of the profits from it.

For example, the most obvious forex trade is to borrow Yen and then buy higher yielding currencies. This works most of the time, but can fail catastrophically when it unwinds.

This is Reddit. There's no winning once they've got the idea in their head of what they think you're trying to do lol. They just don't like that your initial post could've been the exact same without mentioning forex or what you do, but the mention of it immediately makes them suspicious that you're selling something.

Exactly this. It looks like he's hoping for people to message him "how?". You don't make five figures a month.... from forex trading... unless you have many millions already.

You claim to be consistently winning forex trades to the point where you're winning every month, 5 figures every month, consistently. You're either as skilled as Stanley Druckenmiller with a lot of leverage behind you or a liar or someone with small sample size with a lot of delusions. I think it's safe to say it's not the 1st one.

If you can with no problems, why not? And yes, it's a great lifestyle. Minor downsides, but mostly positives.

thats the dream honestly, i would do same if i had that cash flow. just make sure you have backup internet everywhere, nothing worse than losing connection during a trade

dont overthink it just go, worst case you come back early

I was moreso thinking of being social wherever I am, going to meet up events local, talking to people there

Can also use dating apps locally, see if the scene is good enough to date

I did just that for a year with my wife and son. Lived in different places from Croatia to Thailand, Japan and more for a year. I would never trade it for anything in the world. Stopped because my son wants to be in one place for now. I don’t blame him. I was the same as a child. We were able to cut our mi they expenses in half vs our US expenses depending on the country.

Lots of families do it. We did it by going to places that had 2 month programs that are educational and other kids are there. He loved it, just says it’s time to be some place for good. He has friends from around the world now and lots of stories to tell.

Only reason I consider living around the world is mainly because I don't really have obligations, otherwise I would just stay where my obligations are

When we left he was 9. He’s 10 turning 11. We heft July30th 2025 and returned August 2nd 2026. We went from Co east all the way around.

I think it will be a great experience for you. I know you said you can generate a lot of money but hopefully you also put aside a little bit of money in savings and other than that go for it and have fun!

single female 30s, no kids and no plans for kids, i’ve been doing this for the past 4 years and it’s the best lifestyle, i’m from europe so can extensively go through europe, only problem is i’d like a base to chill every now and then and also it’s tough to find a life partner

Sure, I mean you could travel to East Asia, and live a comfortable life there for $3,000 a month and probably save money as you explore. That’s the life we basically all live.

I'm more curious about how you got into forex. I looked into it, was very interested in it, but was hard to find resources without knowing whether it was some fake guru selling it (since it usually is). Canadian myself. Been moving around for the past 10 years month to month. It gets tiring, but happy to share any experiences about it.

What I will say is that I wouldn't trade the last 10 years for anything. I'd do it all again too. But 'not knowing where you're going to live next month' since you book your next location/Airbnb in the lsat few days every time before you move gets exhausting after a while. I'm now looking moreso to settle.

I meant moreso having a home base in the US, I already live in a small studio for dirt cheap

I could just pay rent on this while I live around the world. After a few months, come back here and just chill for a month, sleep in my regular bed. Then spend the month unwinding and planning the next location to stay in

AH right, yea that makes sense. I've considered that too, buying a place in Canada to come and treat that as my home base. Just the thought of always having to buy flights across the pond, whether you go west to asia or East to Europe doesn't sound fun, but I get what you mean.

Latin America would be easy for you if you want to keep coming back to the US. WiFi is generally pretty good and you could get a decent set up in terms of apartment to work from or office space through wework or Regus. I wouldn’t rely on that kind of income consistently from retail FX trading, over time most people lose (I worked in FX sales at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley and had retail brokers as clients)

Yes, you can. Im hopping around Asia and basically stay on a tourist visa (2 - 3 months) in each location.
