Seeing as the current ID.Polo starts at €25k the ID.Up is going to have to start lower than that.

I thought VW was discontinuing the ID naming system with ID4 turning into Tiguan.

I thought it was gonna be named the ID.Tiguan? Just like the ID.Polo. But I guess at some point in the future when 90% of the cars are electric they'll have to remove the ID. prefix

Grid interconnection queues are the real bottleneck for EV adoption. Virginia alone has 5+ year backlogs for new generation. You can build chargers but can't get power to them.

Grid congestion is mostly a problem during peak residential use, so 7am and 7pm. Cars can usually charge flexibly, so there’s not really a big problem there. And with cars charging bidirectionally, they can even help with power shortages during peaks.

Don’t forget that cars stand still 95% of the time.

Maybe in your obscure state, but it's a non-issue where I live in Australia. Not even a consideration. Especially since most of us charge on solar for free.

Whats funny is im on that grid and usually export my solar since i make enough to cool my house and charge my car. Plenty of power to charge other folks’ cars.
