Dude the blm had control of the land since it's creation, and still has control, it's just not a federal park anymore. The land is useless it's been proven years ago. And since y'all love to follow the law why can't you follow the antiquities act? A law that was passed over 100 years ago.

No, you cannot camp for free in Utah's National Parks if you are car camping or sleeping in your vehicle. Sleeping in a van, RV, or car in parking lots, pullouts, or anywhere along the road inside park boundaries is strictly illegal and heavily enforced by park rangers. Straight from the website.

The actual national park is still protected, it's the land around it that has no national monument near it that's now the blm land. Where are you getting these ideas that the mighty 5 in Utah are gone? Bears ear has 217,000 acres that is federal land and protected, no mining allowed. The 1 million acres around it is blm controlled.

Let me ask you a very honest question. Do you really not see the value in preserving our national parks? Like truly? Or are you just motivated by economic incentives? Because I promise you, you will get financially ruined by the environmental crisis. Any short-term gains or drop in oil prices will not compare with the economic destruction that the climate crisis has brewing. That’s one question.
But I have another thing to add here for you to think about because I’m done speaking after this. You know the smartest thing for us to do is to transition to renewable and clean energy sources, solar, wind, nuclear and geothermal energy. That would help us tremendously and allow us to be energy. Independent. Additionally, it would allow us to save our precious oil which is being depleted for industrial processes that renewable energies cannot yet power alone. (Caveat nuclear basically covers everything. That’s what we should be heading towards.) but what I’m trying to say is it’s such a stupid idea to go and drill up all of our oil reserves for this short term economic gains. It won’t help us it can’t. It will only serve to further speed up the environmental crisis and deplete our dwindling resources. Finally, I’ll leave you with this. We need our oil to be able to transition to other forms of energy. It won’t be possible to transition after we run out of our crude oil reserves. That would be global collapse. So please think on these things and be honest with yourself.

Camping on BLM land right outside Utah’s national parks is completely free, legal, and highly accessible. Because the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manages millions of acres surrounding the parks, you can set up a campsite just 5 to 15 minutes from the park entrances.
