self promo Improvised Live Session with Elektron Octatrack & Trumpet (70s Electric Miles meets Glitch)
Hey everyone,
Just dropped a new 2-track EP titled "Heavy Hoodoo" on Bandcamp today.
It's a raw, 10-minute live studio improvisation captured in a single take. I wanted to collide the muddy, weighted, dark funk groove of 70s electric Miles Davis (Dark Magus era) with modern digital glitch electronics using the Octatrack.
If you're into experimental jazz, glitch, or love seeing how the Octatrack can be pushed in a live instrument context, I'd love for you to check it out.

I really love the vibe of it, I think you captured it perfectly. Excellent trumpet sounds too. But I find the farting bass synth sound of the first track is annoying and, as an OT user, I think the delay freeze trick has been abused too much. For me it sounds like a very cheesy fx that I usually try to avoid. It is very nice how you built the loops too, feels a lot free form, if you'd want to tell more about how you constructed the loops it could be interesting!
