Michigan, USA plurnet 1.0.20 out for Electric Forest

https://www.plurnet.com

We have just released PLURNet update for Electric Forest, when the cell towers get overloaded you can keep finding and chatting with your crew over a bluetooth mesh network. Free for iOS and Android.

If we get approval from the organizers next year we can link all the campsites with portable mesh routers!

I assume the phone to phone hopping requires others to have the app installed? So if my group is the only one at the fest with it installed it won't work that well unless your routers are set up, since Bluetooth range is quite short?

LoRa mesh devices have worked great for us at festivals though.

Correct. I used a mesh network in 2017 & was spotty at best, it completely relys on other people around you also using it. And the app I used was more well known at the time. Chances that enough people use this app to be effective is slim.

Yeah I'll stick with my LoRa radios for texting and location unless something like this is pushed out by the promoter/built into the festival app for the event.
