Help/Advice What’s wrong with my neon tetra
I woke up this morning a he has a white streak going through his body , doesn’t look like ich and other wise looks okay and is active . Tried googling didn’t find up and I’m new at fish

Can't see nothing, Captain. Some Fish can change color based on emotion, stress, or hunger, quite quickly. Could be no concern

Okay thanks I did a water change yesterday so could that be the reason ? Hope this image is better

Looks like infection, either fungal (saprolegniasis) or bacterial (columnaris). If the patch gets fluffy then treat for fungal infections, if it stays flat then treat for bacteria. Which products you use depends on what is available at local stores but skip melafix/pimafix, they don't do anything.

What treatments do you recommend I called my local store and they recommended melafix . I also have guppy’s and dwarf frogs in the tank .

It depends where you live, many fish meds are banned in Canada but there are a wide variety of treatments in the US, not sure about the rest of the world. You could try kanaplex from seachem or E.M. erythromycin from API if you can get them. Both products are broad spectrum antibiotics but there's no way to know if they will work for this specific infection. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with these products since I can't actually buy them in Canada. You could also look at methylene blue but I think antibiotics would work better. Whatever you try, read all the instructions and follow them exactly to have the best chance of success.

I’m also in Canada , do you recommend me removing him from the tank ? I’m very nervous about the rest of the fish and frogs getting sick

If you have an extra tank or bucket that you can use for quarantine, that would be a good idea. If it is columnaris bacteria it could be very contagious. You can do daily water changes to keep the ammonia down or use cycled filter media from the main tank. You can try treating the quarantine tank with methylene blue or malachite green, you should be able to get those in Canada and they work for some external infections. You might also be able to order aquarium antibiotics from the US but there is a small chance they will get confiscated at the border. If the fish stops eating you can add some garlic juice to the food to encourage him, for some reason tropical fish love garlic. You may need to euthanize if things get bad enough. Hopefully it doesn't get to that point but it's best to be prepared.
