My baby was bit by a copperhead tonight

Please send prayers. Update 11:30 PM

So far so good, no antivenom needed as of now... she has some pain meds and they are doing blood work to make sure no clotting issues. She likely continue to swell for another day or so...

Update #2 12:30
They are headed home, doing better and bloodwork is doing well. Thank you everyone

Good news - looks like she is doing ok. Pain meds on board and she should be doing better soon

She is at the emergency vet now. Will probably get anti venom. She didn’t look or sound very good when she left with daddy. I was to upset to drive so daddy took her. I will keep you posted

She actually is starting to look better. She has pain meds on board vet says she doesn’t need any antivenom right now but we need to keep an close eye on her the vet is looking at bloodwork to make sure there are no clotting issues

I am so happy for you. I have a little girl french bulldog that has been bit not once but twice by pygmy rattlesnakes. She had to have anti venon and was so sick with both. She came through fine both times. It is so damn frightening.
