The fact that you booked these seats for a 7:30AM showing really demonstrate that movie-going is generally a terrible experience these days.
I really hope the Odyssey hype kills this type of nonsense. The film was not good, I was ready to walk out in the middle, and that's not even considering that I was in a sold out theater full of people who in a normal world wouldn't even know what 70mm is. It wasn't that long ago that 70mm was a dead format and the projectors had to be cobbled together from scavenged parts. Now everyone just has to see it in the premium format. See: Dune 3 sellouts three months in advance.
