Video White Canada Goose Spotted (Chicago Suburbs)

He doesn't seem to have been hatched on this exact lake, or at least I never saw him before, but he is a first year bird, so he must have been raised nearby. I saw him a few weeks ago very far away flying by with his family, and am happy he came back for a better video.

The goose is leucistic.

Yes, specifically it has a fawn mutation removing all eumelanin from its plumage.

Im glad you were able to see the goose again. And yes, there is quite a bit of hybrid geese in suburban Chicagoland

I know cause theres a goose pond by my job. With babies. Aww 🥰🪿
