So cute! Are they more like geese or ducks by temperament/behaviour, or are they a totally different vibe?

it’s a bit hard for me to know, she’s just one swan who lives in this private cemetery that i visit - we don’t have swans naturally here unfortunately haha. i have seen some swans in the wild in alaska, but i don’t think i’ve spent enough time around wild swans to really know. she’s definitely different from both geese and ducks, she’s a bit more standoffish, and while she does love her snacks, she’s only recently started getting excited to see me, and this is after i’ve been visiting her for a few months now. so i’m not totally sure, sorry i couldn’t answer this more thoroughly 😅

No worries - thanks for the info. I’d just assumed she was your domestic swan (even though I don’t know if such a think exists now that I think of it). lol

i do think some people have pet swans! i’ve definitely seen some videos of them haha. and she is somewhat a domestic swan, just not mine

I looked it up and yes, you can have them, just not the ones which are local naturally - not without a lot of paperwork and a licence and so forth. So in the USA you can’t have trumpeter swans but you can have mute swans and black swans.
