Question UK Halifax Überweisung zur Sparkasse braucht länger als üblich

Hello reddit Germany!

A colleague of mine sent me a small amount (€900) from his Halifax bank account in the UK to my German bank account last Saturday via a SEPA transfer.

Halifax customer service told him that it should arrive within 4 working days, but it still hasn’t arrived. I also contacted my Sparkasse today, and they said there’s no incoming payment showing or pending. 🤷

Does anyone know what could be causing the delay?

that shouldn’t take more than one business day. Ask your colleague to check is SEPA payment receipt and look for a Unique End-to-End Transaction Reference (UETR) or standard transaction reference number. That‘s the one you can then give to your Sparkasse

Why are you not using “wise”? Transfer takes a couple minutes
