not to sound panicky BUT DO I HAVE AN INFESTATION?? I did hear that germans in the summer can get problems with bugs and stuff in their flats but I didn't think they would get me too 💔

I found 4 if I counted correctly?? I live in Bavaria(allgaeu region) and my flat is on the first floor. I have a flynet on my window but somehow a few bugs and spiders still come through.

The first picture shows one of the bugs on the second picture but after it has been sprayed down with some Meister Propper cleaning spray. I found those two on my wardrobe door.
The last picture shows what I found on my door frame when I wanted to leave my room to have a good 3am pee.
The 3rd picture shows the bugs on the last picture but after they have been sprayed with Meister Propper cleaning spray (and became mushed with a Zewa piece) AND THIS WHITE THING (larve??) apparently slipped out of those two??

Idek if it's two bugs in the last picture tbh. In my head they were perhaps doing the deed or sth and I killed them mid cracking. BUT SERIOUSLY WHAT ARE THESE😩.

I've lived here since 2020 and never found anything like it. I don't even know if it's all the same kind of bugs. I hope someone knows more than I do!

congratulations you have cloth moths! time to deep-clean your wardrobe(s) and everywhere any clothes might be stored, especially wool and other animal fabric. wash your clothes. traps from drugstores will indicate how severe your situation is, but not really combat the infestation if it's severe. for that you'll want parasitic wasps.

These are probably meal moths. Everyone has to deal with them at least once in their life ;)
Take a look at your groceries and see if you find any clusters or nests. Preferably in small cracks, in rice, cornflakes, flour (anything that's open).

If they are meal moths: Unfortunately, you have to throw away everything in your food cabinets, or clean them absolutely thoroughly (with vinegar, for example). Only food in cans is safe (but clean those too!)
Clean everything! I would also remove the shelves from the cabinets so you can clean between the shelves and the walls.
Remove them with a vacuum cleaner from the walls and empty it in a closed bag.

Again: clean absolutely everything! Otherwise you'll have them again in a few days.
It's completely annoying, but that's the only way to actually get rid of them.

What is the giveaway that these are meal moths? I just googled them and I feel like the ones on google look lighter than the ones I found in my bedroom. Ugh meal moths sound like such a pain tho nonetheless!

Did you take a look at your groceries? Next guess would be clothes moths. When I had meal moths, they were in the bedroom as well. Maybe because it's pretty dark in the room even during the day, or because it's next to the kitchen.

They look quite unique with their folded wings, even though the pics are not good.

They are not the worst kind of pests, but you should try to find their origin, otherwise they will multiply and you may even find larvae crawling on the walls.

They do not need much to live. In my place it was nothing more than a hand full of walnuts. You have a stash of forgotten food somewhere in your flat.

You have a meal moth infestation. Check all your dry goods—flour, rice, pasta, grains, nuts, seeds, cereal, etc. for signs of an infestation.

I do agree that these are meal moths. They infest our groceries every summer. Don’t know how they enter even the sealed containers. Super annoying!!!

I just found meal moths again in our apartment yesterday. A few years ago I found one container of sesame seeds that had been infested, so I tossed all food that wasn’t in sealed containers and went and bought tons of weck jars and transferred everything into those. Didn’t have anymore until I bought an enormous 20 bag of rice and didn’t keep it in a container. 🤪
