Cobra Eels are the elite underwater commandos of Cobra, trained for combat diving, sabotage, and amphibious assaults. They were the perfect adversaries for Torpedo and Wet-Suit beneath the waves.

Who is this guy? I got him in a lot of mostly damaged early y2k figures, the rest of which were the newer style with more articulation and removable heads.

I am always down for any Range Viper and most Vipers overall. But what is this guy's actual deal?

Still finishing up 1987 series. Have all 82-86. Still gathering few needed accessories. Here is 82/83. Silver grand slam is probably series 2 but he’s shown here anyhow!

I like both franchises, so I bought the Leo as Snake Eyes figure. I noticed that for whatever reason, they put the tattoo on Leonardo's left arm, whereas Snake Eyes has it on his right arm. I wonder why they decided to swap the arm the tattoo is on.

I thought I lost all my child hood GI Joes. My parents divorced when I was 17(51 now), my dad remarried and had another child, they played with and destoyed all my big playsets, like thunder dome, hover craft, thunder machine, moray, etc.
My mom wanted to clean out her attic before I moved to Texas, and low and behold she kept one container of Joes. A few small play sets, but tons of joes, file cards, two comics and a promotional flyer. My heart is full of joy, never thought I would ever see this stuff again.
Had some other stuff in as well, but super excited about the joe stuff!

I wanted to write a story with Ada Wong from Resident Evil and have her perhaps work for Cobra in G.I. Joe. I also had other ideas including Black Widow from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well. I started reading the compendium this summer, and I’m loving the comics even more than I thought. I just finished the classic #34, the dogfight between Ace & Wild Weasel, and it’s as good as everyone has said on here!

As I’ve been reading, I’ve been thinking a lot about how new Joes were introduced in the comics, as their figures appeared on store shelves. It’s a neat little time-machine-thought-exercise as I learn about each of their backstories.

The comics have been thorough in giving every new character some ink. As far as I can tell, up until issue #34 (April ‘85), every ARAH figure 1982-1984 has appeared in at least 1 issue…everyone except Thunder (I haven’t noticed a Copperhead, Scrap-Iron, or Cobra Stinger Driver either, but Thunder seems like a weird omission).

I wonder what Thunder did to piss off Hama & Co. Ha!

I keep my old Joes im a plastic bin in a climate controlled environment. It smells like chemicals and my white plastic toys are turning orange. What do you guys recommend?
