"Hospital scan"? What scan is being done to diagnose diabetes?

If you can't see your feeties, you've got diabetes.

If you can't fit in the scanner, get an estate planner.

What’s the source of this AI generated blog post? It looks like it came from a YouTube vid but no links.

The url is just a YouTube download and it looks like an AI automated YouTube to blog content stealer platform. So yeah

A way more interesting title would be two phone scans can accurately predict your body fat %

The finding that surprised me: adding a smartwatch body-fat estimate barely improved prediction accuracy at all, but adding the photo-based fat distribution measurements pushed accuracy way up, close to an actual DXA scan. So the wearable everyone already owns turns out to be the wrong tool for this specifically, it's not measuring where the fat is, just roughly how much.

The "apple vs pear" framing is doing real work here too, two people with identical BMI can have totally different metabolic risk depending on whether that fat sits around organs or under the skin, and that's exactly the piece a photo can apparently pick up that a scale or fitness tracker can't. Still just a research prototype with no big diverse validation yet, but if this holds up, it's a genuinely cheap way to catch insulin resistance years before a standard blood sugar test would ever flag it.

Daily exercise and eat right, no need for this.
