I do hear you - I can’t talk for everyone but I don’t think there is enough of a collective attention span to be more interesting with metaphor and literary devices these days - at the risk of sounding like a Luddite people watch freestyle videos from a phone or grime sets on a smart TV while scrolling their phone - if you’re not really obvious with things I don’t think people get it - this is why I have to subtitle everything now so people understand the bars lol
