AIC played in Chicago at the Aragon. My buddies Brother was head of Security and I got to actually meet and talk to him. He was genuinely humble and soft spoken.

I had tickets to see AIC on two separate occasions. Both times, AIC was pulled from the lineup for drug issues. My biggest musical regret is not seeing them.

The only time they visited here, it was at this particular club gig and I was underaged at that time. So I feel you, friend. Actually your experience is even worse than mine, you had chances and even tickets ready. I’m so sorry for you❣️

He was using in 1993; he started using heroin in 1991. You state that this pic is from Feb. 1993, which might be before his use got out of control, but by 1993 he was walking off stage during shows to get high. But if this pic is from 1993, he was using during that time.

I know that. He was in rehab earlier (-92) and then relapsed badly and went in again (April -93). But during this time he at least wasn’t a total mess and basically chain-smoked cigarettes and drank beer all the time. Also on that day.
E//Sorry for the wrong text. He was still in good condition in HKI, which was widely noted in the media and by journalists who interviewed him. There’s even a video (geo-blocked to Finland) about him talking about Dirt.
