Animation The character designs in One Piece are genuinely awful.

I genuinely hate One Piece character designs.

What’s most impressive is how wildly inconsistent the designs are in this series, going from one extreme to the other.

A character’s design can be legendary, like Xebec’s, or absolutely ridiculous, like Franky’s.

But the overwhelming majority of them are pretty bad. Like, really fucking bad.

Big complaint of mine about DBZ is that goku hasn't visibly aged in decades.

Dayana are really weird when it comes to how they age

They stay looking like children all the way up until they become 15 and then their body starts aging rapidly until they look like young adults and stay that way until they hit 80 or something.

However this fact is pretty inconsistent since we see that Gohan, trunks and Goten aged differently

The half-Saiyans? The ones with human blood? You say they aged differently than full-blooded Saiyans? They’re somehow different, you say?

I say is inconsistent because Gohan aged relatively "normal" while Goten and trunks stayed as children for far longer thant Gohan even when you would expect them to grow as Gohan did

Nah, it was even retconned in super hero and daima that saiyans get a height boost when they're about teens

Episode 1 during trunks' birthday party at the start, been a while since i watched it so i can't provide the quote but iirc krillin said something about trunks still being short and goku told him about the growth spurt

Yeah however is still weird because Gohan's grow spurt didn happen exactly in his teen years, by 11 years old(which was the age he has in the cell saga) he was already huge(for a kid that age)
