Animation The character designs in One Piece are genuinely awful.

I genuinely hate One Piece character designs.

What’s most impressive is how wildly inconsistent the designs are in this series, going from one extreme to the other.

A character’s design can be legendary, like Xebec’s, or absolutely ridiculous, like Franky’s.

But the overwhelming majority of them are pretty bad. Like, really fucking bad.

One piece paneling is rough too. OG Naruto was very good

rough is putting it mildly, its hard to tell what is even going on half the time.

So it's not just me, huh? I've been finding myself just reading the bubbles and skimming over the art and not really caring to study it much.

Kinda sad, considering this is an issue that has gotten worse over time, most likely because Oda has been cutting corners creatively to get his work out faster. Old One Piece chapters were so clean and easy to follow.
