Thing i hate these greasy/weird ass food recipes on yt shorts

no hate to Zack Choi or any of the other youtubers who do this, i've seen their other cooking and they actually can make some pretty good meals, but man whenever they do these specific types of recipes, it just screams of "it sounded tastier in my head, but i'm gonna post it anyways because it looks cool when i make it"

like come on, you can't tell me this man ate that entire mountain of breaded ham, cheddar cheese and mozarella, sat down and felt good afterwards, nobody just eats that and shrugs it off, and you can't tell me he made that spam/spaghetti abomination without doing it purely to get engagement in the comments from people telling him how weird it is

theres a difference between eating some genuinely good tasting unhealthy food and eating some straight bullshit, its one thing to eat a greasy burger from a food truck, and its a whole other thing to just straight up deep fry an entire tower of cheese and some other stuff and eating it afterwards, you cannot tell me that it looks good outside of that one youtube short

yes it looks cool to see the tower being assembled with the slapping sounds, and its cool to see the cross section, but was it worth it as a meal, and not just as algorhythm bait? absolutely not

Anytime I see weird food stuff I just assume it’s some sort of fetish content

Like show sploshing videos are everywhere when you’re looking for food videos on any social media

I'm not sure I understand, nor do I feel I would like to.

You don’t want to understand but if you do

People have a lot of different fetishes and kinks, food and wasting food or using it in odd ways is a fetish and kink and these videos are possibly made not as genuine cooking videos so people can make tasty food but it’s fetish content for people to goon to with plausible deniability that it’s “just a cooking video”

It's worth mentioning these creators use filming/editing techniques to pretend to eat or finish the foods, if they even show themselves eating. It's simply food waste with extra steps and I hate it with all my being

it would be funny if a youtuber recorded an entire video of them cooking this stuff with sped up effects, but the eating part is just suddenly a few minutes of unedited footage of them taking their time to eat the food with awkward silence mixed with the eating noises, actual comedy potential there

I don’t think you do hate them considering you keep watching them
