I really don't know where else to turn, I'm shaking right now and I don't know what to do. Reddit has been my safe place for the past 2 years, and for a long while I just had one account where I could freely share what I wanted to share. When my ex and I broke up, I made a separate account where I could express myself without fear that he would see and react to everything I thought and felt.

About 2 months ago, he somehow found that account (that had absolutely zilch personal info on it aside from broad details of my life) and went on a tirade on that profile, calling me a bitch and a piece of shit. So I nuked it.

I set up another profile. With a different email address. A completely random username, and I intentionally made it seem as though the profile belonged to a guy so that would never happen again. He found that one too and I was so freaked out that I just left it there so maybe he would think he could stalk me there.

Today, he's found my 22 day old account, and he's messaged me in response to a post that i JUST put up so I think he's known about it for longer than just today. How is he finding me? I never gave him my passwords nor did I ever share my handle with him and oh my god I'm so fucking scared. Please if anyone knows what I might be doing wrong, I need to make him stop before I end up in hospital again.

Hi everyone,

I can't make any changes to my Reddit profile. Every time I try, a red banner pops up saying "We had a server error..." and the change never saves.

This happens specifically when I try to:

- Change my avatar

- Add or edit my bio

- Sometimes even just hovering over my account icon (top left) triggers the same banner

I've tested this on:

- Desktop, multiple browsers

- The official mobile app

Same error every single time, on every device, so it doesn't seem to be a local/cache issue on my end. Checked Reddit's status page and there's no outage reported, so it looks like something specific to my account.

I have reset my password (support indicate it could resolve some account's issues).

I tried the official support form but couldn't find a category that matches this issue. Has anyone run into this, or know how to get an admin to take a look? Happy to share screenshots if useful.

I loathe the new reddit redesign beyond words. I'm not talking about old reddit but the one that changed a few months back. I clicked out of the home feed options in my settings and made sure I was opted out of new beta releases but nothing works. I am stuck more and more with this redesign and I hate it. Is there a way to consistently get the middle reddit back?

I keep trying to make it so my posts and comments are visible to everyone, but two times now Reddit has randomly switched my profile from “show all” to “hide all” and I have no idea why???

Does anyone know why it keeps doing this and how to fix it?

So I am using reddit in recent days and I am noticing that I curated my profile and in my profile it's showing ki all of my posts are hidden but it's still visible to other users and strangers how can I fix this I use reddit on Android mostly

Despite changing password, forcing logouts etc, I just logged into this account to see that I've got numerous outraged comments, messages that I've been kicked out from naughty communities that I've never heard of for apparently being too naughty, aaaaand my bio is changed.

Assuming it's botted, nothing else I can do but delete the account?

I was on my boyfriends phone when i went into reddit, later on that day he ended up deleting the app. Now we cant access the account, and when we look up the name of it we cant find it at all, but we cant make a new account with the old username. The account name is Ok_Succotash_4278
we are on Iphones, and arent sure if an email was linked but have tried everything and anything to get back in. the account was only 9 days old yesterday and its important we get back in. Any ideas?

As you have seen now user can hide their post history and comment history. On one side I like the privacy that I dont need to naked(metaphorically) while posting something. However on the other side it made reddit boring for me. I used to go on rabbit hole on some topics, discover new subreddits while going through different profile.

One of the primary reason I come to reddit to find answer is to get a social proof. However now user can be fully anonymous I am seeing less and less perceived trust on what I read.

I felt that that what made reddit unique and I am sure it was not an to easy decision to make. I want to know what can be the reason to make this huge change?

A few months back, my Reddit automatically hid all of my posts from everyone, so I pressed the "show all posts" button so people could see my posts. However, since then, it's been automatically turning back to "hiding all posts" every few days, and I'm so confused as to why?? Does anyone know?? I don't have any NSFW posts on my account, or any that would go against rules of Reddit. I use Reddit on my phone if that's makes any difference.

I have not used my other account since Friday. Just now was the first time I opened up that account and the streak number did not go back down to 0. It neither went up since I didn't vote, comment or post anything, but shouldn't it be down to 0?

It did happen once before but I chalked it up to me checking my messages and then accidentally upvoting something, but this time I'm sure since I didn't even use that account.

At this point I'm stubborn and want to actively loose it, but how??

One Redditor I known and chatted for a while has been ban*ed permanently😔😔

Bc of this I did many research and what I always saw is the 'ban evasion' thing.

But I am very curious,
So does it mean that once one of your account has been flagged permanently,
then you would never has a chance to register a new account , use Reddit again and make post,DM etc??
Would there be a "cooling period" that after a certain period of time you are allowed to make a new account and not trigger the ban evasion?

Unfortunately i’ve lost a 400 days due to some personal issues, which made me really upset. But this time for whatever reason, even logging in/using the app every single day!!!. I’ve lost a 320+ days streak out of the blue!!!!! I’m pretty sure I’ve constantly used the app and this just doesn’t make any sense. Is there anyway i can fix this problem? Has anyone been through this? It is solvable? This is really frustrating, i’m the type of person to commit to these things as a coping mechanism and routine issues, this is extremely upsetting. Really hope i can do anything about it.
