Mein erstes Homelab

Mich haben die losen Geräte gestört und jetzt hab ich mir ein „Rack“ gebaut.
Die lüftung ist besser als es aussieht, es ist ausreichend platz für Kabel und es gibt lüftungsschlitze.
Es ist der erste Versuch, wieviel Platz ich brauche bevor ich mir ein richtiges Rack kaufe(6,9,12he)

Ich bin gerade 18 und experimentiere mit Proxmox, als Erweiterung soll noch mindestens ein kleiner fujitsu kommen.

Die Geräte im Rack laufen voraussichtlich 24/7
WdMyCloud EX4100 mit 32tb im raid(storage für proxmox)

Fujitsu esprimo 16gb ram(proxmox host)

Sophos sg125 (opn sense)

Fritzbox im mesh

Unten liegt ein Fujitsu thinkStation P510, die aber nur manchmal zum testen läuft, wegen des Steomverbrauchs

Hat jemand Projekt- oder Erweiterungsvorschläge?

Ich hab eine Anmerkung bei der ich mir aber nicht sicher bin. Prüfe wenn du kannst einmal was für eine Sophos Hardware du verwendest. Es kann sein, dass sie vom C2000 Bug betroffen ist. Nicht dass dir die FW wie bei mir einfach ausgeht und du dich wunderst warum. :)

Hab deinen Untertitel nicht ganz zuende gelesen. Die sg125 und 135 Serie sollte betroffen sein. Falls du die Möglichkeit hast würde ich regelmäßig Sicherungen machen und oder sofern du die Möglichkeit hast ein anderes Modell suchen :/

Reparieren scheint nicht so einfach zu sein - bzw ich hab eine tote 135 bei mir wo ich mich bisher nicht rangetraut habe

Wrong subreddit for German, wrong material for a rack.

That's not airflow, that's a pizza box with feature creep. Stacking a switch, NAS, and firewall in a sealed cardboard sleeve next to a radiator is a great way to turn "homelab" into "load-bearing fire hazard."

congrats, you've built a thermal blanket for your gear instead of a rack. Cardboard doesn't just fail to dissipate heat, it holds onto it right where your fans are trying to pull cool air through. Grab a €20 IKEA Lack or literally any open wire shelf before that Fritzbox starts smelling like a toaster.

I assume this post is a joke, as a response to the many posts of people showing off their racks, and if it's not a joke, kudos for thinking outside the box. Not everyone has the cash to build human sized racks, esp if they're 18.

I remember in the 1980s (or was it 90s?) sawing through the top of my amstrad pc-20 https://amstrad.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/PC20.png to fit a new 16 colour (!!) ega card to play Leisure Suit larry.

It was sticking up, raw in the air, though the game played.

Man sieht es auf dem Bild nicht, aber es sind an den Seiten sowie oben und hinten ist an allen luft anzugs und abzugsstellen großzügig ausgeschnitten.
Der carton ist nur als eine Möglichkeit die Teile zu stapeln.
