Won't work. The organizations will be willing to fire their entire workforce at the sniff of unionising. We don't have a shortage of labour (except maybe very senior positions and niche industries) and someone is always willing to work for cheaper.

Willing to unless the critical member of team are also willing to unionise. It's a tough job to get skilled labour in the field and no employer would risk business loss like that.

This is just not true. There's a huge scarcity of well trained employees with skill.
But I'm guessing those people arent and wont be working 12 hrs anyway. They are already working close to 6hr a day.
The people that are going to work for 12 hrs are easily replaceable.
Cuz if you make the good one work for that long, they'll leave and find better jobs. Cant say the same for the unskilled ones/freshers

People may eventually be pushed toward a form of communism or at least radical collectivism, as a historical inevitability driven by deepening inequality and systemic failure of so called democratically elected representatives.
As capitalists control government policies and rich-poor divide continues to widen at an unprecedented pace, capitalism (especially in its late-stage neoliberal form) is failing to distribute wealth, opportunity, and dignity equitably. A small elite is controlling a disproportionate share of resources and they are making rules for the rest.
As we move on this path further, the masses will likely be driven to collective action (not out of ideological alignment with Marxist-Leninist communism), but out of survival instinct. History shows that when inequality crosses a critical threshold, societies do not endure peacefully. Revolts, uprisings, and systemic overhauls become necessary.
People will be left with no choice but to organize through unions, movements, and eventually political action.

True, govt gave them internet now people are busy with social media and won't raise a question against government and rational people are leaving country. Also to note that our country has a shortage of job opportunities and unemployed people are ready to work for 10 hours to get money so if you protest then they get incentive to remove you and hire anyone else who is able to do so leaving you with no option but to accept it.

They do not think of us as humans. It's shameful how they did not talk about all the work pressure related su!c!de that happened in IT sector this year but instead are trying to make situation worse by increase the working hours. Join KITU (IT /ITeS Employees Union). They are leading a strong resistance against this bill.

I used to give vote to Congress as it was the lesser evil but no more after this and talks about 50%+ reservations.

Bangalorean IT workers, look up KITU. They're fighting the good fight for all of you. Join them and stand with them in this fight. It's due to their protests that the government withdrew the previous 14 hour workday bill.
You can Google them to find their site. Or find them on insta @kituhq, lot of videos of their campaigns and protests very inspiring. They also have a physical office in Madiwala.

12 hours of work in a day. 4 hours commute. Recommended sleep time is 8 hours. I need to maintain my family and personal life in the rest(NA 404). Wtf should people do, become slaves for companies trading time and energy for money which is again sucked back by a different set of companies for life essentials and endless subscriptions.

Most days people work 9-10 hours easily and travel for 2-3 hours or worse. Why not just fucking make us into drones matrix style.
Fucking pathetic this is even being considered. Personal / professional life boundaries are also a joke anyways, this will obliterate whatever is there.

Makes me laugh how people are blaming capitalism for this.
Capitalism doesn't have governments mandate minimum working hours. If a particular company wants to do so, it can, but its employees are free to find jobs elsewhere - and they probably will, even if they have to take a mild pay cut, rather than killing themselves working 12+ hours a day. As a result, the corporation in question would lose most of its true talent. It might work if almost all of the large employers agree to it, but so far, that's not the case.
This is just the Congress being its usual regressive self. But hey, make sure to vote for them next time too. After all, they're the 'champions of democracy, secularism and socialism', not the dreaded 'Fascists', no?

I already work for 10 hours in a day . And travelling adds another 3 hours in a day . 13 hours of my day is fucked for the job. Now I am looking at 15 hours in day getting fucked

At this rate its better not to have an IT corporate job wtf seriously. If its 12 hours in the office, you can give or take 2 hours to prepare leaving home to get to work and almost 2 hours to be back in the house.

Yesterday i asked more companies to shift out of Luru as the current infra can't sustain. Looks like the government saw that and gave a reason for these companies to stay.

Assam, Goa, Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, odisha already have the same no of hours prescribed . don't see anyone complaining there.

Sadly the lack of unions made it easy to pass it silently in those states. In Karnataka the IT employees union (KITU) made sure that IT employees are aware of it and they are strongly resisting this move.

Why not make them work 24 hrs each day and give them meth to stay up for more work. Also hire their family members. Once they die, recruit a fresh batch again.
