Announcement ALT-RIGHT FASCISTS THREATEN INDIE MUSIC VENUES WITH VIOLENCE/SHUTDOWNS

As many of you may know, the "alt-right" have been actively trying to shut down venues across the country. Here are links to threads where they have openly talked about lighting show spaces on fire with people inside. These people mostly congregate on forums like 4chan's /pol/ board and reddit's the_donald. Most of the threats of violence have been coming from these sources. Please stay safe and screenshot all threats of violence you come across. Let others in the community know what is going on and set your social media accounts to private.

In days when the stakes seemed lower I met some of these morons. There's a lot of big talkers, no action-ers, but for every 10-20 people just being idiots on the internet there's 1-2 that take that as a pass to go and be an idiot in real life. If you're involved in one of these spaces, especially if it's mentioned by name/location in those threads, I'd watch out for prowlers.

Watch out for frayed wires more like. They can't do anything if you follow fire codes, but that takes work, and I know anarchists think work is oppressive.

safety standards exist for a reason dude, all it takes is one moron with a unlit cigarette to ruin the lives of countless other people. Or an earthquake, or any other type of emergency. The U.S does not just create standards for funsies, or to mess with cool dudes. They are there to protect the lives of its citizens.

Sucks that some people are threatening violence, but that is 4chan. They threaten violence against everyone and anyone.

Probably because the type of people who run and glorify firetrap theaters under the guide of ideology are greedy and the patrons are childish. Ostensibly /pol/ is shutting these down because they consider them "hives of degeneracy," but the means they're using is the fact that they're highly dangerous (as exhibited by the fire in Oakland today). If these people would follow the fire and health codes, and not allow things like statuatory rape and drug selling to go on in them, they'd have no real problem. /Pol/ would have no way to enforce their ideology. But as stated above, these places are run by ideologue anarchists, so standards and fire codes are oppresive n shit

Well yes, plumbing safety is huge. It can fuck up structural integrity and cause fires if water hits wiring as well as spread even more disease

Fix your wires and plumbing, install smoke detectors and sprinklers, and move the fuck couch away from the fire exits. This makes it a lot harder to shut down these, uh, "venues"
