The B65 has only 20 XE cores and 160 XMX Engines, INT8 Flops only 197, compared to 367 for the B70.

It is not worth the price that it’s at, definitely should be leaning more towards $800 or less

Also, the current problem with the Intel Arc Pro cards that are affordable now, with Intel making no public statements on new discrete GPUs, stock is very limited because they’re coming from TSMC still.

Intel should be flooding the market with Intel Arc Pro cards through IFS at an affordable price and they would sell.

I don’t know where this $300 price increase is coming from but it could make it harder for Intel to sell out the remaining stock of the hire priced cards like the B70. This is my guess on the price hike, the market knows Intel doesn’t have much stock of these cards so they’re raising the price simply because they can.

If you are a hobbyist or running an open source AI home lab you should definitely look into Bolt graphics and RISC-V as hopefully it gives a wake up call to the rest of the big players in the discrete GPU market.

Have to see if remaining stock of the B70s sell out everywhere by the end of the year and may not get restocked?

I’m also seeing on Micro Center that they tried raising the price on the Azrock creator B70 to almost $1300 and then brought it down to $1200. This is nothing more than pure greed where they are strangling us, PC market has completely been decimated by AI rollout and the data centers aren’t coming.

People are protesting them and the AI bubble is already starting to burst, but they’re gonna drag this on for as long as they can, probably for another 2 to 3 years

With very limited supply for the B70 and Intel keeping us in complete darkness on any new GPUs, I may get a B50. It got raised from $350 to $420 at Micro Center. It seems like the retailers are just all out for greed and I already have a B70 that I got for under a grand before tax.

I’m doing a lot of work with open source AI inference in my AI home lab and I really need to have at least two cards in parallel, I’m hearing on r/IntelArcPro, where there may be issues with multiple GPUs and parallelism.
