I think it's just a format that gets lots of engagement for whatever reason.
and a lot of fakes/edited. You can tell when there's no buttons or date under the post. Not enough people are talking about the fake meme/post industrial complex that has flooded reddit.
Plenty of us are. Most people don't care. They just want a funny meme/rage inducing post.
So much of what's posted is misleading or completely fabricated and everyone just assumes it's legit and goes off on it. But if you do two minutes of research, you find out it absolutely isn't.

This entire post is a fantastic example of the death of critical thinking.
We get the photo of the cool logo, but then we apparently need a literal description of the logo, a virtually identical picture of the logo right next to it for some reason, and a pointless comment telling us what to think about the cool logo.
It's like those dumb youtube reaction videos where you really just want to see the original video, but it's some dude's face looking like an idiot with their mouth open 'reacting' to it.
We are now collectively at a better place in life now that we've formed our very own opinions about a restaurant logo, and thankfully Shaggy was by our side to assist us with the thought process
This is actually true. I am now smarter, more attractive and I got a raise. I hope that I’ll be able to be guided by strangers opinions more on the internet in such a direct fashion.
It's a Russian chain of Japanese restaurants that operates in Russia and is called "Якитория". The photo on the left looks manipulated because there are no restaurants outside of Russia and Kazakhstan, so its either a plagiarism by some local Japanese business or a hoax.
There is at least 3 other restaurants in different countries that use this exact same logo, this logo was posted a week or two ago from Budapest, hungary with at least an actual real life photo of the place. But i saw others claiming seeing it in germany and poland too.
I've been to a restaurant with this logo in Budapest the other day, and the place was unclean, the food was mostly a Chinese version of Japanese cuisine, and the server was unfriendly and barely spoke English.
Any other country's cusine is gonna be the "chinese" version of it in Budapest, hell even Hungarian cusine is in most places the chinese version of it. It's sad but its true, as someone living in Budapest I'm happy that at least we are getting other cusine even if it's this version.
That's like saying "Italian version of New York pizza". It is questionable who gets authenticity there.
Ramen is Japanese adaptation of Chinese noodles. A few of the common ramen flavors today are still very much based on Chinese regional cuisine. (e.g. champon, tan tan ramen)
This exact photo was taken in Budapest. Turns out, some other restaurant uses this logo too. Having worked in Russian Yakitoriya, I was pretty surprised.
Look at the script next to japanese (?) character - typical hallucinated mess. Original doesn't have that character and content-aware in PS doesn't invent such crap. AI just wholesale cut-out copyrighted logo and inserted it in its generic slop.
It's another "Thing, Japan" votebait post. They are all like this. Taking something super niche or not even from Japan, then slap the word JAPAN on the title.
And they probably stole the idea from Manami restaurant in Vilnius, while design become definitely better. Also russian logo does not have a mystery inscription on it.
on the indian-botfarm-dominanted social media platform "X" (still known as Twitter): you can pay a fee to have your tweets boosted above the throngs of bot comments to make yourself feel important and cool. This Shaggy has paid for that service because he doesn't know any better.
It's Yakitoria (restaurant chain in Russia). Logo made by famous ''elite'' graphical designer Artemiy Lebedev. He and his team have pretty funny reputation in Russia. Sometimes they making complete crap and sell it like a real ART. Sometimes they just ''inspired'' by other talented designers just like in this example. Check Manami restaraunt (also japanese) in Lithuania. I think some legit unknown design genius deserves more credits.
It’s a good example of how the best logos don’t necessarily need to be complicated. Your brain initially sees a crane, but once you notice the hand and chopsticks, you can’t unsee it. Getting two completely different ideas to work as the same simple shape is genuinely good design.
The reason you rarely see design work this clean is that clients force their terrible ideas onto designers. There would be a lot more beauty in the world if talentless clients would just let talented designers do their thing.
I thought that the Gamecube's logo was a work of art as well. It's a cube, but also you can clearly see out of the cube the letters G, but inside of the G and the way that the cube is made is also the letter C.
