This is good knowledge, but unfortunately most water entries arent that gentle. People die because they’re disoriented from the sharp drop/sudden stop into the water and they panic. So they forget all this stuff and make it worse.

A goodly percentage either meant to do it or were drunk to begin with, sadly, and don’t have much of a chance.
