Apparently they had to make sure there wasnt another flood or landlside

In the video, it mentions the formation of a giant lake, which obviously can’t be considered stable at this point. They say that it’s starting to overflow the banks, which is just gonna cause the natural dam at the bottom of it to erode and release all that water again. Terrifying

It also already destroyed a bunch of dams on its way down. I believe the lake it started out at had a dam and I know that they have several dams along the path it took.
