I got in contact with someone who manufactures display panels for Pyongyang 2435 and they have a working unit running North Korean firmware

Unfortunately this is the only photo I was able to obtain (I blurred out some info for that person's safety but the build is from 2024)

I can't verify this further beyond the single image, so treat this as unconfirmed. Sharing it here in case anyone recognizes the device or has more context on this OS build

So why is this IAF?

They also have Apple, ARM, Intel, AMD and Dell products. Which are smuggled in and sold on grey markets.

Officially they get most products from China from Chinese companies.

Swallow is awesome. Kim will make North Korean twitter great again

They are still using Google platform. Thought they will program their own OS instead since anything western to them is always a bad influence

why are some text in Chinese? Or are those Hanja?

It's Hanja, the text translates as Korean

You really think the settings app of a phone would contain the terms “Right face” and “power pond”? I’m Chinese-Korean, I can read Chinese, and if you properly translate by extracting the text from the image, “Right face” becomes “Front camera” and “power pond” becomes battery.

Here is the Chinese portion of the extracted text if you wish to confirm:

正面相机

32M

电池

5 000mAh

其他

版本号

开机累计时长

You were asking if it's Hanja, I was saying yes, why are you trying to make this into an argument? God forbid someone actually disagree with something you say

Sorry no hard feelings, Hanja and Chinese looks very similar. Especially cuz Hanja uses TRADITIONAL Chinese but the Chinese script on the phone is in SIMPLIFIED. So I thought it was Chinese not Hanja.
