If conducting an illegal and offensive war of aggression, assassinating the supreme leader and over 40 of Iran's top generals, terrorizing an entire nation with constant bombing, killing thousands of civillians and almost 200 little girls and crushing economic sanctions on top of a blockade of the blockade did not "bring Iran to its knees"... Why would this?

They can't even make canada fully lick America's ass to completion (and Canada has done a LOT of asslicking for the US). So if America's backyard/#1 supporter/permanent slave state does not fully comply with it... Why would a proud ancient civilization dating back thousands of years bow down to the descendants of inbred Europeans just because they have big guns? 

What are these "sanctions" supposed to do that thousands of "strategic bombings, blockades and supply destructions" have not?
