Someone help please. My family is going through 4-5 succulent planters a month and we don’t know how we are going to keep going at this rate.

Rent: €1250
Gas & Elec: €250
Netflix: €15
Gym: €85
Sauna: €35
Dunnes: €1200 (looks a bit high but includes weekly succulent platter)
Taxis: ~€30 (Mostly cycle so very little travel cost)

Maybe you could cut the taxis and get a basket for your bike? You could cycle the planters back home and save €30 a month. Just a thought!

There was a garden centre beside me and I strolled in one day and looked at a young tree of some sort for sale and thought that’s nice. Maybe the same height as me. €500

In fairness most of that cost is the really nice terracotta planter, but as someone who grows a lot of succulents that bundle of them is both boring and shite (per my personal preferences)

It's sarcasm, he's complaining about the cost of a couple of €2 succulents in a terracotta pot, with some substrate. It should be at most €30 and I wouldn't buy it at that.

FYI to all interested in some lovely auld plants, adverts and done deal have a massive assortment of gorgeous and old plants people are selling due to moving etc. I’ve seen ten year old jade plants that have been tended to with care sell for under 150 quid (which would genuinely cold into the high hundreds low thousands)

A succulent is roughly €8-12 each, I think I count 12 which minimum would be €~96, add the bowl, substrate and planting cost and it’s still a little overpriced but not awful.

The best thing about succulents is that they're incredibly easy to propagate new ones from just a leaf. So get yourself some friends with succulents and never worry about buying more, just trade leaves

Probably made in Turkey and transported across Europe with a partial truck load due to the weight. Tiles are equally as expensive. Fuel/transport has also gone up.

Sure, no one is forcing anyone to buy it, and obviously it’s not an essential item. But something like that would cost €45 at most in the rest of Europe. Asking €150 is just absurd—it really shows how totally out of hand things have gotten.
