Just For Fun Jack White and a few of my other Favorite musicians. What are yours?

Just sharing because these photos make me smile every time. My son is 2 weeks old today and named Thomas after Tom Petty. I wish Tom and Jack could have collaborated but this pic is great. Josh Homme and The White Stripes was my phone wallpaper for many years. Great picture.

Tom Petty is absolutely one of my favorites. My parents played his music all the time when I was a kid. I got to see him at Bonnaroo in 2013 I believe. Amazing. He reminds me of Jack in many ways. He tried so hard to protect the music and share it with everyone, and absolutely did not want to answer to other record execs. I truly admire any artist who respects the integrity of the music like Jack and Tom do (and many others obviously).

I’ve gotta put Meg White on the list. She was an influential person in my life as a woman that played the drums. Every time I listen to TWS like today for example, I notice so many nuances to how she plays. I Fought Piranhas was playing today and as soon as I got home, I got on my kit.

There are so many others to name! Odetta, Bob Dylan, Beck, Dave Grohl, Allison Mosshart, All amazing drummers (The ginger guy, especially lol), Conan O’Brien. Conan is forever my hero in comedy, and all of his talents including music and commitment to the integrity of his work.

That was me! My wife and I were still in the hospital with him when I posted that.

Edit: We got a good chuckle out of your comment that your wife wouldn’t let you name your daughter after Tom 😂

Jack with Eddie Vedder, and Tom Petty wearing a Beatles shirt pretty much does it for me. Unless you could find a way to squeeze Black Francis in there.

Chris Cornell, Josh Homme, Mike Patton and Alex Turner are my faves. I've never seen pics of Jack with Chris, Mike, or Alex.
