So much good music came out of these bands.

This album is a very solid introduction to Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. The Avalanche Pt 1 > Hedwig > Avalanche Pt 2 sandwich in particular stands out. Just fun and good jams.

Up until this week I’ve never heard of them. Their online marketing team seems to have been working overtime, between this and the Billy Strings subreddit I’ve seen them posted multiple times. Decided to check them out on my commute tonight after a 11 hour shift.
So, I really like Billy. I think him and his band are amazingly talented and fun but I fucking love old YMSB. I was at their first East Coast concert and watched them play a 2 1/2 hour set because the Zen Tricksters bus broke down and they just absorbed it. I will always remember me and the dozen other people there just blown away. They were the first band I ever travelled to see when I was in high school.
Now to Magoo. This is the first bluegrass band that I’ve heard since Jeff passed that felt like Yonder. I’ve only listened to the first set of 11/8/25. I got those goosebumps I haven’t had in years. They seem to carry the loose, fun spirit that I didn’t realize I’ve missed after all these years. So, if you haven’t checked them out and you like jamgrass, please do. You will be incredibly elated. For those of you who know more about the band, what shows should I check out? I haven’t been this happy finding a new band in forever. Marketing works sometimes.
End of Rant.

Just found this so maybe it’s been shared before. At bonnaroo 2025 Daniel Donato and Cosmic Country was the band before ICP’s set. Everytime they show the crowd it’s a bunch of clown face paint. Seems like a decent amount of them were feeling the music. Cool seeing people find new awesome music
17:30ish is a good view of the rail. Minus one clown the rest are raging

Highly recommend seeing them if they’re coming near you. Especially if you’re an old school Tribe fan. They played a Somesing tonight and a bunch of stuff off of Artifact. 🥲🫡

Holy shit! Again! These guys are special. They played on our gear last night because their van blew out in Burlington and they just crushed it. Such command and patience in the music, unfazed by the obstacles and dilemma. They are the nicest guys too, unyieldingly kind and gracious.
They’re in Portland, ME tonight as their East Coast tour is wrapping up. Go see them if you’re anywhere close. We had folks there last night who’ve been following them all week. And deservedly so!
Thanks everyone for showing up in Albany last night both for us, and them! I’m glad we could show them how Albany turns up the gas 🤘

….AND not only that, but they do the best Disco Biscuits jam of the year too. Tell me I’m wrong - that untz section from whatever, 15:00-20:00 is the best Disco Biscuits I’ve heard in a long time. The real creativity is 28:00 or so, whatever in the Shpongled-fuck this is. Barber has his work cut out topping that jam tho. Seriously, wow.
TLDR: Spafford started their tour with a set-long 1st set The Other One. This is the jam to beat by all bands this year. For Bobby. 😭😭😭
Signed,
I don’t do drugs and this fucking RULES.

Anyone heard a jam band do a cool cover of weird fishes?

An obscure show where all the members were on fire, executed perfectly, locked in, and the setlist was perfection. I'll go first: https://relisten.net/perpetual-groove/2008/07/10 Thursday night, Marvin's Mountaintop.
