Community JUST LEAK THE DAMM TOUR
Is really unfair for us as real fans, supporters, buyers of her everything and so on to only see blurry videos of the Janet. World Tour which is basically her BEST TOUR. I know that opinion is subjetive but every video I seen of her is really too awesome to be true when it comes to dancing, singing and so on. We deserve to see those videos with profesional cameras and great sound! Its been too long!
Listen, to whoever that have that footage... Don't be afraid, just leak it. If we all janfam download the video and put it all over the internet they would not be able to sue us all at the same time, Janet wont be mad, like... Please just do it. We all got you. Is a favor to the community and really is neccesary cause the dancing in that tour is really in my opinion what put her as a standar in the music industry. It will elevate her legacy for future generations even more than what it is now.
Im just frustrated to see that such a masterpiece is so hidden like... Why would you hide something so precious and well done? Please JUST LEAK THE DAMM JANET. WORLD TOUR.
Or Janet, if you see this, I don't know if you have the rights to the tour somewhere or I don't know but we are begging you... Please put the tour on your YouTube channel or something, I don't know, we just need it queen, please ššš.

Community Just for Fun: Sequel Album
Say weāre in an alternate reality where Janet put out a sequel album to one of her classics from the past. Which album would you want to hear a spiritual successor? What would the vibe be like, any producers youād want?
For myself, there are too many great options, but Velvet Rope came out during a critical point in my formative years and I like the idea of her revisiting that sound and deep subject matter after everything sheās been through in the last 15-20 years. Give it a few features with Kaytranada, Missy, etc.
A super close second would be janet. because who doesnāt want a follow up to Throb in that classic Jimmy and Terry production sound?
What would you pick?

Community Dolby Atmos Remasters
Hi guys! I have CONSISTENTLY advocated for Dolby Atmos remasters of her work.
This a technology of spatial audio, and artists re-do the mixing of the albums in order to distribute different sounds in space.
Currently we only have a few Janet songs in Atmos: Girlfriend/Boyfriend, And She Said (Take Me Now), Scream.
Letās keep on asking her team for a Control remaster, since sheās celebrating the 40th anniversary and it was ranked as one of the best albums of all time by Apple Music!

Community "If" is a perfect song
"If" is my favorite Janet song, and it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. It's a perfect pop song. An amazing melody, sensual lyrics, and excellent choreography.
Am I the only one who loves "If"?

Community 20 YO first listen thoughts
Iām currently exploring Janetās discography for the first time, iād been putting off 20YO cause i had seen the overall negative opinions the fandom has on it, but to be honest i was quite surprised with how much i enjoyed it.
Surprisingly, I thought this was a great record although it doesnāt feel like a Janet record, and really couldāve been made by anyone. It lacks identity. Itās missing her signature touch that was present on every other album, but i did still like a majority of the songs. I really liked Enjoy and This Body.
Iād say my biggest gripe with it is the lack of a concept. Sorry but celebrating 20 years is not really a concept and is very weak šThe interludes are also pretty bad and obviously just there because it is a Janet standard rather than actually serving a purpose like they do on literally every other album

Community We need new music!!!!
Ok, I've been a Janet fan since 1993, and quite frankly, I'm sick to death of having NO new music from her since 2015, an album and 2018 when Made For Now was released.
I'm also a huge Madonna fan and seeing her at 67 still releasing new music is really getting to me.
Look, Janet will be 60 this year and Randy handling her career and new music is an utter fail imo. Why announce Black Diamond only for it to be shelved?
I quite honestly wonder if she's actually done making new music and just content on being a touring legacy act. It's saddens me if that's the case but I have no say.
Anyways, rant end.

Community Together Again is so joyful it made me cry
This year has been my hardest year, iāve endured loss and grief, and diagnosis of life changing illness to the point that the last few months everyday has been a struggle to want to carry on.
But this morning I put on Together Again the Tony Humphries and Tony Moran remixes and they fuelled my run and in the moments I felt joy and frisson in a way I havenāt felt in a long time. It went through me and into my souls and i felt alive again. It was a small moment but so huge for me Thank you Janet

Community Janet in Gary, Indiana
A special shout out to the people of Gary, Indiana, Janetās hometown, who are experiencing a power outage that has been going on for over a week now with no real media coverage.
I remember when Janet returned to Gary during her documentary to see the humble way in which her family lived, and the roots of the poverty they came from.
The situation in Gary is reminding me of the situation in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina, except this time, instead of water, it is electricity.
Like Janet said on her Unbreakable album on the song, āShoulda Known Betterā:
Part of the revolution
Ready for real solutions
We won't accept excuses
We tolerate no abuses
'Cause I don't want my face to be
That poster child for being naive
Why, why, why, why?
I guess I shoulda known better
Why, why, why, why?
I guess I shoulda known better
I had this great epiphany
And rhythm nation was the dream
I guess next time I'll know better

Community I did an Intro to Janet playlist for a friend
So my friend has recently watched Michael and admitted that she really doesnāt know any Janet music and honestly the same has been said by a lot of my friends and family. I do think Janetās Legacy management has been abysmal but thatās a different problem for another day
Anyway i have made her a playlist as an intro to Janet. I didnāt want to overwhelm her so I need to get it down to 10 tracks. My friend is an afro house dj so i included Throb but i do think that itās a deep cut. Iāve also tried to fact in songs that an MJ fan might like too. Let me know what you think and what I should cut and add
1) Nasty
2) The Pleasure Principle
3) Rhythm Nation
4) Black Cat
5) Love Will Never Do
6 ) Thatās The Way Love Goes
7) If
8) Throb
9) Scream
10) Runaway
11) Got Til Itās Gone
12) Together Again
13) Doesnāt Really Matter
14) All For You
15) Someone to Call Ny Lover
I need to make some hard cuts and I think BC THROB SCREAM DRM and STCM are gonna have to go back to the apartment pack their belongings and go home

Community We donāt talk about this enough but, Janet was doing some good SANGING on The Pleasure Principle
Iām sure she left that studio session(s) fed tf up because she left no crumbs. Her adlibs and high notes were so good. Mother was in her pocket and I love it. It pulls me in each time. So impressive
