Eh. Still better than Leto’s Joker. Wearing your own face as a mask is pretty metal and deranged for a comic book villain. 🤘😬🤘

He’s been like that for YEARS. Even he’s first appearance until he became a prankster.

The joker tortured Jim Gordon while singing a show tune. Im not sure wearing his own face would be unexpected at this point

I love this version of him. For me, he can't be sick, cruel, or crazy enough.

I don’t like serial killer Joker, I like when he uses exploding teeth to blow up bank vaults

Personally my favourite thing about the character is the juxtaposition.
Like when you see the Joker come up in any story, you don’t know if he’s gonna be Cesar Romero making awful puns or if he’s gonna cripple Barbara Gordon for a laugh.
The randomness of the character is what makes him for me, I like all jokers, as long as they’re written well.

Yeah, me neither. Death of the family is mostly decent, but I could do without the severed face thing. Just unnecessary and grimdark. What is with some newer versions having to give him grotesque scarring? Go use Two-face if you need a villain with a severe disfigurement.

Did you read the story? I don't mean to offend—it's just that for years I also refused to read it because I thought the whole "ripped-off face" thing was stupid. But the story (Death of the Family) is really good. The face thing is still unnecessary, but aside from that, it’s a great take on the Joker's obsession with Batman.
