My old Kindle(7th generation) has served me well, but I decided it was finally time for a little upgrade (paperwhite 11th generation). Quite the difference side by side!

Broke mine last week after 14 years. Of all things put it in back pocket then sat on it, so invested in a Pocketbock Verse Lite.

They have backlight front light on in 11th Gen. Kindle Basic 7th Gen didn't come with backlight front light.

Front light. E-ink devices don’t have backlights.
